Instant answers to common questions about eSIM plans and SMS verification numbers.
An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card that allows you to activate a cellular data plan without using a physical SIM card. Once purchased, you will receive a QR code in your dashboard. Scanning this QR code installs the travel data profile on your device instantly.
We recommend installing your eSIM the day before you travel while connected to your home Wi-Fi. The data plan will not start consuming its validity period until you connect to the supported network at your destination.
Generally, Apple iPhones (XS and newer), Google Pixels (3 and newer), and newer Samsung Galaxy devices support eSIM. Please verify that your device is carrier-unlocked before purchasing.
Select SMS verification from your dashboard, pick the country and service (e.g., WhatsApp, Telegram, Google), and click buy. The number is rented instantly. Any incoming verification codes (OTP) will show up in real-time in your SMS Republic dashboard.
If you don't receive the SMS code within the activation timeframe (usually 10-15 minutes), the transaction is automatically cancelled, and the funds are refunded immediately to your account balance. You only pay for successful verifications!
Yes, we support long-term number rentals. Navigate to the Rentals tab in your user dashboard, choose a country and rental period (hourly up to 30 days), and complete the rental to keep receiving messages on the same number.
Rentals shorter than 28 days are non-refundable once purchased. Rentals of 28 days or more can be cancelled and the unused time is refunded pro-rated to your balance. BX rentals follow the standard pro-rata refund. Refunds are subject to the upstream provider's policy.
Numbers may not be used to verify financial services (banking, payment processors such as PayPal or Cash App), cryptocurrency exchanges (e.g. Binance, Coinbase), telecom carriers, identity/KYC verification providers, or government portals. Numbers are receive-only.
We support secure deposits using major Credit and Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and leading Cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, USDT, Litecoin).
Account balance deposits are final. However, if a purchased service (eSIM or SMS activation) fails to work due to technical issues, the cost is automatically credited back to your account balance. Please check our Refund Policy page for more details.
